HUD VASH Case Management Services
Background
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has a requirement for a Contractor to assist with the provision of housing placement, via case management services, through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development – Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program for the Puget Sound catchment regions: Pierce County, WA; King County, WA; Snohomish County, WA. HUD-VASH is designed to serve homeless Veterans and their families with co-morbid conditions such as serious mental illnesses, substance abuse disorders, and other serious medical conditions. The VA seeks to support HUD-VASH by expediting placement of Veterans and their families in affordable, permanent housing for the Puget Sound catchment regions listed above. This housing must meet the criteria for inclusion in HUD’s Section 8 voucher program.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide HUD-VASH Case Management Services for Veterans as per the Performance Work Statement in King County, WA; Snohomish County, WA; Pierce County, WA. The contract includes tasks such as identifying staff, drafting an implementation plan, participating in transitioning services, ensuring that each case worker has completed VA’s VASH orientation and training, providing case management services conforming to required elements for all enrolled Veterans, conducting high-risk screening and psychosocial assessment, providing life skills education/support to Veterans either through individual or group sessions, providing transportation assistance to enable Veteran to find suitable housing, among others.

The Contractor is also required to ensure the security of all procured or developed systems and technologies throughout the life of this contract.
