Special Notice Special Notice Page 4 of 4 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 4 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Daily Planet Inc. who provide services as part of its Community Based Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program within a 10 mile radius of the Richmond VAMC. The purpose of this contract is to prevent homelessness by assisting chronically mentally ill, homeless Veterans by providing them temporary housing from the street or habitation unfit for Veterans, as well as services necessary for obtaining treatment and permanent housing. The plan is to place them in Transitional Housing for those with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) defined as temporary housing in a safe residential environment with adequate services to address the Veterans' SMI needs. While housed, the Veterans shall receive assistance with identifying and moving toward permanent housing. Period of performance will be for the period 1 April 2024 through 31 March 2025. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) soliciting from a single source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past experience and expertise may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government No telephone request will be accepted. Background

Work Details
