Background
The Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 20 provides a comprehensive range of medical services, mental health services, and therapeutic housing programs to Veterans in White City, Oregon.

The Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program within the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics (SORCC) offers interim housing for Veterans who need a transitional step while receiving intensive outpatient services and awaiting permanent housing resources.

This contract aims to provide care and services that exceed basic room and board, particularly for aging Veterans who may require assistance with self-care and management of ongoing mental health issues.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Contracted Residential Services (CRS) for Veterans/Beneficiaries of VISN 20 SORCC, including:
1. Basic Services:
- Room and Board: Accessible 24/7 with accommodations including a bed, furnishings, personal linens, and storage for belongings.
- Nutrition: At least three nutritious meals daily, snacks available, dietary accommodations as needed.
- Laundry: Facilities provided free of charge with guidance for those needing assistance.
2. Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Services:
- Recovery Plans developed with input from Veterans and VA staff.
- Milieu of trust and safety promoting participation in daily activities without coercion.
- Structured group activities twice monthly including therapy sessions and life skills training.
- Coordination with VA staff for psychosocial services and case management focused on Veteran-centered interventions.
- Discharge planning initiated at admission focusing on securing permanent housing.
