Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to negotiate a sole source contract for gym rental services for the VA Medical Center in Northampton.

- On-site storage for VA staff equipment.
- A location within a 15-minute drive from the Edward P. Boland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
The prior contract history indicates a confirmed incumbent, Northampton Nautilus, awarded two consecutive gym membership/space use agreements for the VA Medical Center Northampton (36C24125P0098 for $48,000 in 2024–2025 and 36C24126P0006 for $72,000 in 2025–2026). The prior work is described as “gym space and memberships” and “gym memberships and space use,” which aligns closely with the current requirement to provide access to a multi-purpose gym space for Gerofit exercise classes, including equipment and scheduled session availability. This appears to be a continuation of the same gym rental arrangement supporting the ongoing Gerofit program during renovations.
