FY26 MTS Purchase

Background
This contract is a sole source requirement for the FY26 MTS Purchase, issued by NASA Langley Research Center. The goal of the contract is to procure hardware and services necessary to upgrade and install an MTS FlexTest 40 controller for the SATEC 600-kip load frame, along with hardware for 100-kip hydraulic grips and a pressure intensifier for one of the 100-kip load frames. The contractor will provide installation, commissioning, and calibration services at the James H. Starnes, Jr., Structures and Materials Laboratory.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following items:
1. **MTS FlexTest 40 Controller** - Quantity: 1
- Features include real-time closed-loop control, transducer conditioning, function generation for various servo-actuators, modular design, field-upgradeable processors, and includes MTS Series 793.00 Control Software.
- Specifications include:
- Digital Universal Conditioners (DUCs)
- Voltage Kit (Power North America, 100 - 120 Cord) V (AC) (NEMA 5-15)
- Chassis Model: 494.04
- Various models of Analog Input/Output Boards and UART/Encoder interfaces.
2. **Wedge Grip Set; Model 647.50** - Quantity: 1
- Dynamic Force: 500 kN (110 kip), Static Force: 550 kN (120 kip), Hydraulic Pressure Rating: 70 MPa (10 ksi).
3. **Hydraulic System Intensifier; Model 685.60C-03** - Quantity: 1
- Pressure Range: 10 - 69 MPa (1500 - 10000 psi).
4. **Onsite Services** including installation of the MTS FlexTest controller, basic operator training, and onsite calibration services.

Period of Performance
14 months after receipt of order.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must be an authorized distributor or OEM for MTS products to fulfill this contract.
