Background
The Cameron Reach Water Main Contract is issued as part of the Lake Marion Regional Water System, which is owned, operated, and maintained by both Santee Cooper and Calhoun County. The goal of this contract is to enhance the water distribution infrastructure by installing significant lengths of water main pipe to ensure reliable service delivery.

Work Details
The contract encompasses the furnishing, installing, and placing into successful operation approximately 65,000 linear feet (LF) of 12-inch diameter water main pipe and 1,000 LF of 8-inch diameter water main pipe.

The scope includes all necessary components such as pipes, valves, appurtenances, roadway bores, horizontally directionally drilled pipe, backfill, compaction, testing, quality control, safety measures, and any other related work required for successful project completion.

The contractor will also be responsible for coordinating with local utility owners and property owners as well as personnel from the Lake Marion Water Treatment Plant and Calhoun County.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 30 calendar days after receiving the award and must complete it within 365 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in the vicinity of Lake Marion Regional Water System.
