Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is issuing this solicitation for the Houston Ship Channel Segment 4, located at the Beltway 8 Placement Area in Harris County, Texas. The mission of the USACE is to provide vital engineering services to the nation, including flood risk management and navigation improvements. The goal of this contract is to execute various construction tasks necessary for the development and maintenance of the Houston Ship Channel.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes a variety of construction tasks as outlined below:
1. Mobilization and Demobilization
2. Installation of Two Access Control Gates
3. Clearing and Grubbing
4. Construction of Drop Outlet Structure and Discharge Piping
5. Conducting Geotechnical Construction Testing
6. Building Temporary Access Roads
7. Providing Temporary Access Road Incidentals/Flagging
8. UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) Construction Support
9. Realigning Drainage Channel Pipes
10. Constructing Dike Access Ramps
11. Hydroseeding for vegetation establishment
12. Demolition and Disposal of existing structures or materials
13. Topsoil Strip, Stockpile, and Grade
14. Installation of Security Fence along designated areas
15. Constructing Perimeter Dikes for flood protection
16. Excavating Perimeter Ditching for drainage management
17. Providing Aggregate Surfacing for roadways or paths
18. Installing Geotextile / Geogrid for soil stabilization
19. Placing Riprap for erosion control along waterways
20. Constructing Outfall Channels for water discharge management
21. Installing Rock Filter Dams for perimeter drainage control.

Period of Performance
