FY25 Chiller Rental

Background
The Department of the Air Force is seeking to acquire a backup chiller rental for Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) located in Bedford, Massachusetts. The goal of this contract is to support the facility and infrastructure operations managed by the Hanscom Air Base Group Civil Engineering Division’s Operations Flight.

This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather market research and acquisition planning insights for the chiller rental.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, parts, transportation, and other incidentals necessary for a backup chiller rental at HAFB. Specific requirements include:
- Provide a 50 Ton Portable Chiller for one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods (totaling 60 months).
- The chiller must operate year-round, 7 days a week, with operational hours depending on cooling demand.
- It must be glycol ready and equipped with crank case heaters and a low ambient kit.
- The chiller should have specifications of 480/3PH/60hz.
- Supply hose Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) Chiller - 3-inch x 100 feet (supply and return), Victaulic Fittings - 3 inch (4 – 90 Degree fittings and 4 – 3 inch to 4 inch Quick Connects), Cable Banded 5 Wire - 100 feet, Cable Tail 2/5 Male.
- The contractor will leave the chiller on a trailer and level it; Hanscom Civil Engineering will handle installation and electrical connections.
- The contractor is responsible for all maintenance and repairs of the chiller.
- Delivery of the chiller must occur within three business days of contract award.
