FY24 USACE Brazos Island Harbor Channel Improvements Project, Phase 2 in Cameron County, Texas

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for Brazos Island Harbor Channel (BIHC) Improvements Project, Phase 2 in Cameron County, Texas. The project is subject to full and open competition and requires offerors to enter a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) score in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) prior to responding to the solicitation. The NIST score is a responsibility item, and bids/offers from contractors with a NIST score in SPRS will be considered responsible and evaluated/considered for award.

Work Details
The work consists of deep draft new dredging of the BIHC Improvement Project, Phase 2, including new dredging of approximately 7,012,000 cubic yards (CY). The project also involves pipeline dredging to remove material from the Main Channel and Turning Basin, with all material placed in Placement Area (PA) 5B upland dredged material placement areas.

The completion time for Schedule No. 1 is estimated at 610 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation issued will be a Firm-Fixed Price Contract award with an estimated magnitude between $25,000,000.00 - $100,000,000.00. Bonding requirements and pre-award documents are also specified.

The construction projects will be performed in Cameron County, Texas.
