Background
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is interested in receiving white papers for Research and Development projects which offer potential for advancement and improvement of NAWCAD operations. This announcement is to declare NAWCAD’s broad role in competitive funding of meritorious research across a spectrum of science and engineering disciplines. NAWCAD has identified the research needed to address the challenges, problems, and future technology needs of the Warfighter.

Work Details
NAWCAD is seeking research and development projects in various areas including Aeromechanics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML), Avionics, Sensors & Electronic Warfare, Cyber, Data Science & Visualization, Digital Engineering, Human Systems, Hypersonic Systems, Materials and Aircraft Structures, and Mechanical Systems. The BAA is restricted to the acquisition of basic research, applied research, advanced technology development, and advanced component development and prototypes intended for scientific study and experimentation directed towards advancing the state-of-the-art or increasing knowledge or understanding.
