FY24 Baltimore Harbor and Channels Maintenance Dredging, York Spit Channel, Chesapeake Bay, MD   3

The project consists of maintenance dredging approximately 1,700,000 cubic yards (cy) from the deep-draft federal navigation channel serving the Port of Baltimore. The project consists of dredging portions of the York Spit Federal Navigation Channel. The work consists of maintenance dredging to a required depth of 50 feet MLLW with two feet of allowable overdepth. Approximately 1,700,000 cy of material will be dredged including overdepth. The estimated magnitude of construction is $25M-$100M. The work areas are within heavy commercial waterways supporting the Port of Baltimore. Large hopper dredges are required to remove the dredged material from the channel and haul the material to the placement site. The material will be dredged by hopper and placed within a period of performance of approximately 120 calendar days from receipt of Notice-to-Proceed.
