FY23-24 AEGIS Modernization for MK99

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to conduct other than full and open competition to place an order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0002422G5311 to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) located in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

The awarded order will satisfy United States Navy and Foreign Military Sales AEGIS Modernization requirements. These requirements include equipment changes for the AEGIS Fire Control System (FCS) MK99, Solid State Switch Assembly Modernization Kits and Ordnance Alteration (ORDALT) Installation and Checkout Spares, Kill Assessment System Dry Air ORDALT Forward-Fit Kits and Back-Fit Kits, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Spares, Engineering Services, and Australia Hobart Waveguides.

The order will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Raytheon IDS is the only qualified source that possesses the in-depth technical expertise, knowledge, resources, and understanding of the MK99 FCS, applicable ORDALTs, and AN/SPY-1 radar systems necessary to satisfy the Government's requirements within the scope of the BOA and the required schedule.
