Background
The work for this project includes construction (design-bid-build) of a United States Air Force squadron operations facility at the Royal Australian Air Force Base in Tindal, Australia. Space is required for aircrew flight equipment maintenance and care, mission planning, intelligence, crew briefings, and crew readiness to support eight KC-10 aircraft, and incidental related work. Systems to be commissioned in this project include, but is not limited to, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems (no heating or refrigeration), Building Automation System (HVAC Control System), Service Water Heating System, Plumbing System, and Utility Energy Metering Systems and Sub-Meters.

Work Details
The work includes construction tasks such as excavation and handling of contaminated materials, transportation and disposal of hazardous materials, asbestos remediation, lead remediation, cast-in-place concrete work, unit masonry installation, structural welding, and other metal works. It also involves the procurement and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), electronic construction and facility support contract management system setup, cost-loaded network analysis schedules (NAS), quality control procedures, sustainability requirements and reporting, special project procedures, governmental safety requirements compliance, sources for reference publications provision, metric measurements adherence, special inspections management, temporary construction facilities and controls setup,
temporary environmental controls implementation,
project identification procedures,
construction waste management and disposal oversight,
facility electronic operation and maintenance data provision.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from 29 June 2023 at 2:00 p.m., H.S.T. until completion. Additionally within 21 days after receipt of award the offeror must furnish the bonds required by the contract.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Royal Australian Air Force Base in Tindal, Australia.
