FY22 COLUMBIA (CLB) CLASS STRATEGIC WEAPON SUPPORT SYSTEM   2

Background
The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of successfully performing the engineering, construction, installation, and test of the COLUMBIA Class submarine (CLB) Strategic Weapons Support Systems (SWSS) and integrated communications systems for the Kings Bay TRIDENT Training Facility. The contract type will include Cost Plus Fixed Fee and Completion Term Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINS). The Period of Performance (POP) will include a base year FY22 effort from 15 March 2022 – 14 March 2023, and four (4) corresponding one-year option periods for the LOE tasks.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide engineering support services and subject matter expertise for the integration, construction, and installation of the Strategic Weapon Support System (SWSS) and ship equipment including foundation mounting hardware and the communications systems as part of the COLUMBIA Strategic Weapon Training System (SWTS) program. This includes technical engineering services, program management support, coordination with associated contractors and government representatives, risk management analysis, resolution, configuration management, delivery of monthly expenditure reports, participation in various meetings and working groups, recommendations on SWTS trainer unique documentation updates, and conducting a semiannual program review.
Additionally, the contractor shall develop and deliver a tactical voice ICS for the COLUMBIA Class TRIDENT Training Facilities based upon an SSP provided Government Furnished Information package. The contractor shall also procure long lead material for missile tube baseplates, raised decks, interconnecting pipe, interconnecting cabling, bench trainers as specified.
Furthermore, the contractor shall procure, produce, and manufacture various SWTS SWSS Subsystem hardware for the COLUMBIA Class Kings Bay TRIDENT Training Facility including outfitted trainer missile tubes, SWSS off-tube foundations and components, raised decks, integrated communication system, bench trainers, interconnecting piping and cabling along with miscellaneous shipment 5 material.
Lastly, the contractor shall plan, install, and test the Strategic Weapons Support Systems and associated Ship equipment within the Kings Bay TRIDENT Training Facility.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will include a base year FY22 effort from 15 March 2022 – 14 March 2023 with four corresponding one-year option periods for LOE tasks.
