Description

Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) will be procuring follow-on technical engineering services and hardware. From FY21 through FY27, this procurement will provide systems engineering services to support integration of existing Trident II (D5) Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles including Nuclear Reentry Bodies into new US and UK submarine classes. The engineering services sought will support completion of the submarine designs for both classes, and early stage construction and test support for the UK Successor class. SSP also requires engineering services to support the design and production of submarine launched ballistic missile servicing support equipment, as well as the development and production of specialized submarine launched ballistic missile simulator test equipment. This effort is inextricably linked to work already being performed by Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company under Contracts N00030-15-C-0005 and N00030-17-C-0017, which SSP awarded using other than full and open competition.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a re-publication of Presolicitation Notice N00030-21-R-0017 published on August 25, 2020. This is an intent to award Special Notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Place of Contract Performance

SSP expects contract performance will occur primarily at Cape Canaveral, Florida, multiple other locations in the U.S., and shipyards in both the U.S. & UK.
