The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, North Florida / South Georgia Veterans Health System is searching for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned SB (SDVOSB) firms who have demonstrated design and construction experience under a Bid Build (BB) Contract, with the ability to Renovate Clinical Research Laboratories. The VA is searching for firms who can complete the perform the construction of Renovate Clinical Research Laboratories in the Malcom Randall VAMC. Project Overview: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Renovate Clinical Laboratories required by drawings and specifications. and other specific tasks as further defined by the SOW. As part of its market research, The Network Contracting Office (NCO8) is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested Service-Disabled Veteran Owned SB (SDVOSB) contractors capable of performing the above work. Please submit, via email to Amber.Milton@va.gov an interest and past performance that demonstrates the one can perform the above scope of work. Any technical questions please contact: marco.lopez2@va.gov. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes and will be posted on BETA SAM for 30 calendar days beginning 4/29/2021 and ending on 5/28/2021 This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, is issuing a contract to renovate Clinical Research Laboratories at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. The project aims to enhance the functionality and infrastructure of the existing laboratory facilities.

Work Details
The project involves general construction, alterations, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work, and utility systems. Specific tasks include renovating clinical laboratories, constructing public toilet rooms, installing autopsy equipment, adding fume hoods and bio-safety cabinets, and installing lab casework.

The contractor must prepare the site for building operations including demolition and removal of existing structures. Technical services will be provided by RDC/John Poe Architects during construction.

The contract performance period is 540 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed.
