FY 26 WDO FIRE KINGS RIVER HERBICIDE

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in conjunction with Wildland Fire Programs is acquiring vegetation treatment services for the FY 26 Kings River Hazardous Fuels project. The goal of this contract is to apply herbicides in select locations on BLM-administered lands to control annual grasses, thereby reducing fine fuels and protecting the community of Winnemucca, NV from wildfire risks.

This proactive fire mitigation effort is crucial for community safety and environmental management.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for applying herbicides over a total area of 672 acres, specifically targeting locations defined in the attached maps. The work includes:
1. Application of contractor-furnished herbicide (Imazapic) within specified areas to control vegetation.
2. Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding herbicide application.
3. Provision of all necessary labor, equipment, fuel, supervision, supplies (except government-furnished), and incidentals for the project.
4. Safe transportation, storage, and disposal of herbicides as per safety data sheets.
5. Completion of a Pesticide Application Record (PAR) for each treated site along with GIS shapefiles showing treated areas.
6. Restoration of any damaged roads to their original condition at no cost to the government.
