FY 2025 Q4 - Chicken

Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of chicken products as part of their food service requirements for the 4th Quarter of Fiscal Year 2025.

The goal of this contract is to provide high-quality chicken products that meet specific USDA standards for use in correctional facilities.

Work Details
The contractor is required to deliver 30,000 pounds of boneless, skinless, raw white meat chicken (tender or breast meat), frozen.

The specifications include:
- Must comply with USDA, United States Classes, Standards, and Grades for Poultry Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) 70.200 et seq.
- Boneless, skinless breasts must be free of cartilage and fat.
- Boneless breasts (excluding the attached tenderloin) must be free of tendons, although tendons associated with tenderloins are permitted.
- Tenderloins or boneless, skinless parts must be free of blood clots, bruises, cuts, tears, and holes in the muscle tissue.
- Slight discolorations and separation of muscle tissue are permitted if they do not detract from appearance.
- Dicing is allowed provided portions are intact and relatively uniform in size and shape.
- Products must be unbreaded and packed in poly bag boxes made from polyethylene-film with a wall thickness of not less than 2 mil to protect against dehydration and freezer burn.

All packaging materials must be clean and new.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from July 1, 2025 to July 18, 2025.

Place of Performance
The delivery location for the chicken products is the Federal Bureau of Prisons facility at FCC Beaumont located at 5980 Knauth Road, Beaumont, TX 77705.
