FXI and ISR Mirror Bender Upgrade Package

Background
The contract is issued by the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). NSLS-II is a synchrotron light source that features a highly optimized 3 GeV electron storage ring, full-energy injector, experimental beamlines, and optics. The goal of the contract is to upgrade the mirror benders for the FXI and ISR Beamlines to enhance their operational capabilities.

Work Details
The Contractor shall design, engineer, manufacture, and assemble new equipment referred to as 'The Equipment', which includes:
- Collimating Mirror (CM) bender for the FXI beamline
- Toroidal Mirror (TM) bender for the FXI beamline
- Horizontal Focusing Mirror (HFM) bender for the ISR beamline
- Vertical Focusing Mirror (VFM) bender for the ISR beamline.

The Contractor must test the Equipment at their facility before delivering, installing, and testing it at BNL. Compliance with all specification requirements is mandatory. The Contractor is also responsible for providing a Final Design Review (FDR) report and ensuring that all electrical equipment meets U.S. standards and is certified by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). Additionally, they must follow specific piping requirements as per ASME B31.3 standards and provide one spare motor and encoder of each type used on the Equipment.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with U.S. standards for electrical equipment and ensure certification by an NRTL. They are required to provide a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) prior to starting work and must supply their own tools and necessary equipment. Quality Assurance requirements as specified in BSA Form BNL-QA-101 must be followed.
