Description

This is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) for the Future LMTF Contract. Please see attached SSS and included instructions to participate in the LMTF tour on August 23, 2024. The Government appreciates responses to the RFI Questions as well as questions from potential vendors to be sent by 4pm on 30 August 2024.

Background Information on the LMTF mission is as follows:

The US Air Force ICBM mission is to support fielded ICBM weapon systems and replacements. LMTF, located at Little Mountain, Ogden, Utah provides technical support, nuclear effects, survivability, and reliability testing. The program objectives are to assure nuclear hardness and reliability of designed or fielded systems are assessed and maintained throughout their operational life cycle and meet weapon system specifications. To accomplish these objectives, LMTF must support nuclear hardness and reliability testing of ICBM equipment, microelectronics and sub-assemblies by designing and conducting tests, operating, and maintaining the LMTF facility and all test equipment included therein.

The program objectives are to assure nuclear hardness and reliability of designed or fielded systems are assessed and maintained throughout their operational life cycle and meet weapon system specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will operate and maintain the three survivability/vulnerability labs which comprise LMTF: the Radiation Lab, the Electromagnetic Effects (EME) Lab, and the Shock & Vibration Lab.
The goal of this service is to operate and maintain LMTF test laboratories and test support equipment, design and develop test fixtures, test plans and reports, conduct tests, analyze test data, design and/or specify test equipment replacements or upgrades, integrate and/or install test equipment and systems, perform fabrication tasks associated with conducting tests, maintenance, repair, manage configuration accountability associated with test stand changes, and support technology transfer through Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA).
