Description

Full D2P for 3D Printing

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Baltimore VA Medical Center (VAMHCS), Imaging Service seeks to procure the DICOM to Print (D2P®) software solution developed by 3D Systems. This software aims to enhance pre-operative surgical planning and diagnostic evaluation by enabling the internal generation of 3D anatomical models from existing DICOM imaging data such as CT, MRI, and CBCT.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide the following deliverables:
- D2P software package (Full + Advanced VR modules)
- Hardware kit ('Tower workstation package #1') to support VR
- Associated software licenses (perpetual)
- Meta Quest 2 VR headset
- One-year warranty and technical support for software and hardware.

Salient characteristics of the D2P Software include:
- FDA-cleared for diagnostic use and pre-surgical planning
- Accepts and processes DICOM data (CT, MRI, CBCT)
- Automatic, semi-automatic, and manual segmentation tools
- AI-based 'zero-click' segmentation for skeletal, vascular, and dental anatomies
- Mesh editing capabilities including smoothing, cropping, and artifact removal
- Exports in formats such as STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY
- Integrated DICOM viewer with image overlay functionality
- Virtual Reality module for immersive inspection
- Local processing capability; no internet required for core functionality
- Perpetual license with access to updates and support. The VA will handle all software installation, configuration, and integration with local imaging systems and PACS.

Base Period: 12 months from date of award.
