Background
The Oklahoma Area Indian Health Services (IHS) and Albuquerque Area Indian Health Services (IHS) require contracted diagnostic radiology services and transcription services due to the absence of a staff radiologist in their direct patient care programs.

The IHS, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for providing health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives, ensuring that comprehensive and culturally acceptable health services are accessible to approximately 1.5 million individuals across 34 states.

Work Details
The contractor will provide diagnostic radiology services, professional consultation, and transcription services in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Key tasks include:
1. Routine interpretations of radiographic images with a turnaround time (TAT) of 24 hours;
2. Emergency/stat interpretations within 20 minutes;
3. Immediate notification to clinicians regarding critical results;
4. 24/7 availability for telephone consultations;
5. Quarterly quality control peer reviews;
6. Transcription of voice files into MS Word format, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations;
7. Delivery of reports in HL7 format or via secure methods for facilities unable to receive HL7;
8. Monthly reporting on service volume and performance metrics.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over multiple option years, with specific periods to be determined at the time of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations including the Oklahoma Area IHS, Albuquerque Area IHS, and Pine Ridge Hospital.
