This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a standalone 8(a) competitive contract. The purpose of the project is to provide electrical power redundancy to the Missile Field 2 silo interface vaults by adding Automatic Transfer Switches and Main Lug Only distribution panels with Molded Case Circuit Breakers. The SUS A and B switchgear will be physically separated, have enhanced coordination/protection features incorporated, and will be converted from a Main-Tie-Main to a Main Tie-Tie-Main configuration. Background
The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for a competitive contract aimed at enhancing electrical power redundancy at the Missile Field 2 silo interface vaults. The goal of this project is to ensure continuous and reliable power supply to mission-critical equipment by integrating Automatic Transfer Switches and Main Lug Only distribution panels with Molded Case Circuit Breakers.

The project will also involve modifications to the existing switchgear configuration to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the installation of Automatic Transfer Switches and Main Lug Only distribution panels equipped with Molded Case Circuit Breakers. The existing SUS A and B switchgear will be physically separated, enhanced with improved coordination and protection features, and reconfigured from a Main-Tie-Main to a Main Tie-Tie-Main setup.

Additionally, the Power Control and Monitoring System (PCMS) and Power Quality Monitoring System (PQMS) will be extended to Missile Field 2. The project will utilize the Vertiv Liebert 20 KVA EXM UPS system to provide uninterruptible 208/120 VAC power to essential equipment during operations.
