FTG247 Replace UPS at IDT1   3

Background
The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska is issuing this solicitation for the purpose of replacing the existing 80KVA uninterruptible power systems (UPS) with distributed redundant 75 kilovolt-ampere (KVA) UPS.

The project aims to enhance the power supply reliability for mission-critical equipment within a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP)-shielded equipment room at Fort Greely, Alaska. This includes upgrading emergency power off (EPO) systems to meet the latest Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) standards and extending power control and monitoring systems from the Fort Greely Power Plant.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Replace existing 80KVA UPS with new distributed redundant 75 KVA UPS systems.
2. Install new UPS panelboards to provide redundant receptacles for all mission equipment within the HEMP-shielded equipment room.
3. Upgrade EPO systems to comply with MDA GMD standards.
4. Extend Power Control and Monitoring System (PCMS) and Power Quality Monitoring System (PQMS) into IDT1 from the Fort Greely Power Plant.
5. Ensure construction considerations include heavy electrical work inside mission-critical facilities, seismic requirements, scheduling impacts on warfighter operations, protection of facilities during construction, and minimal operational interruptions.
