Background
The solicitation is for the repair of double stacked blast doors at Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston. The work includes providing all necessary parts, labor, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary for providing all work shown in the statement of work. The repairs must be performed by contractors authorized by the manufacturer (International Door Inc.) and able to provide original manufacture parts to do repairs to the overhead/vertical lift blast doors and to repair mechanical door components.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform a full functional repair of existing vertical lift double stack doors and electric door openers. This includes assessing the current condition of 5 vertical stack blast doors and electrical function box, replacing existing top weather seals and bottom safety edge rubber on all door leaves, replacing door lift cables, fittings, clamps, reversing motor starter, operator and gearbox, troubleshooting electrical issues preventing operation of the doors only, providing all necessary hardware for parts replacement, coordinating with Lackland AFB Civil Engineer Operation Planning office ahead of time, utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hauling all project waste off government property, calling Civil Engineer Project Manager (PM) and Facility Manager (FM) for inspection upon completion of the project, removing all tools, trash, equipment, and personnel off government installation upon final inspection. The contractor is also responsible for providing specialized equipment at their cost.

Period of Performance
The project must be completed within 45 days of the project start date.

The work will take place at Building 4055 on 2566 Wilson Way, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, TX.
