FRFD Firefighter Structural Trainer Maintenance

Background
The Fort Rucker Fire Department requires maintenance services for its Live Fire training systems. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, and services to ensure the operational readiness of these training systems, aligning with the department's mission to maintain safety and effectiveness in fire training.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform preventative and corrective maintenance on the structural trainer, which includes:
- Up to two scheduled visits per year by a factory certified technician.
- Checking operating performance, flame heights, and agent detection responses of all fireplaces; adjusting as required.
- Cleaning and/or replacing all filter elements.
- Inspecting fans and blowers; lubricating bearings; inspecting pilot spark igniters and flame rods; adjusting fuel control stations; confirming sensor settings; calibrating gas detection assemblies; inspecting smoke generators; cleaning fuel control station inlet strainer.
- Inspecting the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) battery and ensuring the latest PLC Ladder Logic is installed.
- Providing a service report, on-call phone support, and remote access support. Additionally, establishing a Work Reception System for tracking maintenance requests and maintaining records.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period as defined in the solicitation.

Bidder Requirements
Contractor personnel must be able to obtain clearance for post access and agree to background checks using the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index. The contractor is responsible for issuing Common Access Cards (CACs) for its employees.
