Background
The project involves repairing and restoring the operational functions of the freight elevator at Building E, which is part of the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park (SAFR), owned by the Department of Interior, National Park Service. The elevator is used for movement and management of museum collections stored on all three floors of Landmark Building E.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, and equipment to repair and restore the freight elevator's operation. This includes tasks such as rope replacement, dressing guide rails, performing category testing, cleaning and lubrication. All work must adhere to ASME A17.1 Elevator Safety Codes for Elevators and Escalators. The work is scheduled to be performed during regular working days and hours (Monday – Friday, from 7:30am to 4pm).
