On or about 17 December 2020, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for the Fort Randall Major Unit Rehab . The solicitation will close on or about 26 March 2021. The solicitation is Unrestricted and Open to Both Large and Small Business Participation.

Site Visit:

A Site Visit will be scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation via FAR Clause 52.236-27. The site visit is tentatively scheduled for 12-13 January 2021.

Project Description:

This project will provide rehabilitation on the eight (8) turbine generator units at the Fort Randall Power Plant. The rehab will include new turbine runners, new wicket gates, head cover and stay ring refurbishment, governor upgrades, new generator stator windings and stator cores, rotor refurbishment, and new generator step up transformers. Other mechanical and electrical upgrades may be included in the work as the conditions of the components are revealed. These items may include piping, coolers, high pressure oil lift and general mechanical work and miscellaneous auxiliary electrical work. The work will be awarded under a stand-alone contract phased to maximize contractor progress while minimizing outages.

The Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work 3650 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.

The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000.
