DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The purpose of this is a construction acquisition is to secure the procurement of a Hydraulic Vertical Pivot Gate. There is an existing fence around the Outside Maintenance Facility. This project will consist of installing a new Hydraulic Vertical Pivot Gate to replace the existing Double Swing Gate. The work shall consist of furnishing and installing a Hydraulic Pivot Gate and associated appurtenance, providing increased equipment security and force protection.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of a Hydraulic Vertical Pivot Gate as part of the Fort Peck Outside Maintenance Facility project.

The goal of this contract is to enhance equipment security and force protection by replacing the existing Double Swing Gate with a new Hydraulic Vertical Pivot Gate.

Work Details
The work includes furnishing and installing a Hydraulic Vertical Pivot Gate along with associated appurtenances as specified in the drawings and in accordance with Specification Section 32 31 13, HYDRAULIC VERTICAL PIVOT GATE SYSTEM.

The contractor must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations during the execution of this contract. Specific tasks include:
- Preparing an Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) as per EM 385-1-1 requirements.
- Developing an Abbreviated Accident Prevention Plan (APP) tailored to the site-specific conditions.
- Ensuring all materials are delivered in good condition and properly protected against damage.
- Conducting work within designated hours, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
- Providing portable toilet facilities for contractor staff, as no permanent facilities will be available on-site.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is 180 days following the Notice to Proceed.
