Description

This is a Special Notice to announce the intent of the Mission Installation Contracting Command, Fort Liberty (MICC-FL), North Carolina's need to procure Post-wide Refuse Collection, Disposal, and Recycling Services in support of the Department of Public Works (DPW) with full and open competition. This current requirement is a one-time 12-month bridge contract action to meet the urgent need of refuse services on Fort Liberty to prevent a break in service. The current contract expires March 26, 2024.

Background
The Mission Installation Contracting Command, Fort Liberty (MICC-FL), North Carolina, has a one-time urgent need to procure Post-wide Refuse Collection, Disposal, and Recycling Services in support of the Department of Public Works (DPW) with full and open competition. The proposed bridge contract will manage Post-wide Refuse Collection, Disposal, and Recycling Services for Fort Liberty, North Carolina (NC).

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all personnel, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, fuel and other items necessary to perform the full range of services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), contractual stipulations to include all local, state, and federal regulations. This includes an estimated 17,000 tons per year of Municipal Solid Waste collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal in designated licensed surrounding landfills. The service areas shall cover Fort Liberty, North Carolina, including specific locations such as the Special Forces Operations Training Facility, Smith Lake Travel Park, Simmons Army Airfield, Camp MacKall, the Airborne Special Operations Museum, and Linden oaks Housing Areas.

Period of Performance
This is a one-time 12-month bridge contract action to meet the urgent need of refuse services on Fort Liberty to prevent a break in service. The current contract expires on March 26, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Fort Liberty in North Carolina.
