Background
The solicitation is for a Fort Drum Asphalt Requirements Contract, which involves the construction of new asphalt pavement and repair/replacement of existing asphalt pavement. Work Details

The work includes various tasks such as clearing and grubbing operations, excavation and disposal of existing surface and subsurface materials, installation of geotextile soil stabilization fabric and geogrids, supply and placement of fill materials including select granular fill and sand backfill, supply and installation of aggregate subbase course, hot mix asphalt (HMA) paving including top course, binder course, base course, shim course, truing & leveling course; pavement markings including various types of stripes and symbols; cold milling; installation of culverts; airfield pavement crack and concrete joint repair and sealing; cleaning, sealing, and filling joints and cracks in non-airfield asphalt pavement; utilities installation including raising/lowering existing utility structures to match final grade and installation of new utility structures; seal coating; site restoration including topsoil and hydroseed.
