Fort Carson DPW Street Sweeper

Background
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Carson (MICC) is conducting market research to identify parties capable of supporting the acquisition of a street sweeper for Fort Carson Directorate of Public Works (DPW).

The street sweeper will be used to clear the Fort Carson flightline of foreign object damage (FOD) and perform other street clearing operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall deliver a truck-mounted airport street sweeper with dual sweeping units and an auxiliary engine with a minimum of 55 kW (75 HP).

Specifications include:
- Minimum disc brush diameter of 750 mm
- Brush speed control on the control panel
- Hydraulic inclination adjustment for disc brushes on both sides
- Simultaneous sweeping capability
- Wander hose on hopper
- Stainless steel preferred hopper chute
- Toolboxes in the hopper on both sides
- Dirt water drain sheet at hopper rear door
- Cover plate for hydraulic hoses in toolbox
- Fan exhaust air switchable to top or rear
- Leaf screen made from stainless steel with pneumatic control from outside the hopper
- Emergency tilting device for hopper with hand pump
- Exhaust air hood on hopper roof
- Hopper tipping for dirt water discharge with closed rear door
- Optimized deflector plates for abrasive debris on both sides
- High pressure water system with automatic recoil drum and spray lance
- Water spray bars with multiple nozzles on front bumper and suction tubes
- Cleaning water connection at suction fan with shut-off valve
- Water tank level indicator in control panel
- LED flashing lights and beacons on hopper rear end
- LED work lights for sweeping unit and surrounding illumination on both sides
- Rear view system with cameras and TFT color screen for sweeping unit monitoring.

Additional features include contour marking for sweeper, splash guard for truck chassis at rear axle wheels, automatic hopper safety prop, lubrication point for tilting cylinder externally, leaf screen cleaning system with water jets, hand dirt scraper for preliminary cleaning/blockage in suction tube, ladder for maintenance or entry into hopper, tool kit provided along with two owner operator manuals (digital or hard copy), and onsite orientation.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance is one week commencing on or about 16 June 2023.
