Fort Benning Daily Commute/SPED Bus Transportation   3

DoDEA-Americas, Southeast District requires daily student bus transportation services in Fort Benning, Georgia. The contractor shall provide to the school district the number of school buses required to accommodate all students identified as eligible for transportation, to include all personnel (drivers and safety attendants), supervision, services, supplies and equipment (not otherwise provided by the Government) necessary to perform school transportation services to DoDEA schools located on Fort Benning Army Garrison for the approximately 2600 eligible dependents residing on Fort Benning, GA. Each school day the contractor shall provide one round-trip to and from school to authorize dependent students enrolled in DODEA schools who reside outside of the walking area and within the designated commuting area. Curb-to-curb transportation shall be provided for certain students with disabilities as determined in the student's individual education plan (IEP). This service may require specialized equipment including, but not limited to, special or adapted buses, lifts and ramps to provide transportation for a student with a disability. Contracted services must be in compliance with Georgia Department of Education requirements for pupil transportation. The safety and security of the passengers is of highest priority in the performance of contract services.
