IMPORTANT NOTES:
Refer to Section L, Paragraph L.2, on Page 36 for detailed instructions regarding the submission of proposals, including the required documents and information to be provided.

An organized site visit is scheduled for September 2nd, 2025 at 0900 AM hours PDT; please refer to page 41 for detailed information regarding the site visit.

All Requests for Information (RFI's) shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Tanya Torres on the attached RFI form no later than 1000 AM hours PDT, September 4th, 2025.

In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

Background
The contract is issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the repair of Forest Service Roads 1N02, 1N05, and 1N17 in the San Bernardino National Forest, which were damaged by Tropical Storm Hilary in August 2023.

The goal of this contract is to restore these roads to a safe and usable condition, ensuring continued access and safety for visitors and forest management activities.

- For Road 1N17: Removal of debris, excavation and embankment construction, placement of aggregate base, roadway obliteration, and placing asphalt concrete.

The project aims to address specific damages such as scoured water crossings, washed-out culverts, clogged culverts, and other erosion-related issues caused by the storm.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is estimated to be 60 days starting from October 2025.

Place of Performance
