Forensic Nursing Consultation Program (FNCP)

Background
The Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking organizations to provide in-person and web-based forensic training, clinical hands-on training, mentorship programs, website development and maintenance specific to forensic healthcare, and ongoing training, education, and technical assistance. The Division of Nursing Services (DNS) IHS/HQ is committed to providing training resources and technical assistance support to ensure that health care providers are prepared to meet the needs of American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) patients following violence.

Work Details
The purpose of this fixed price purchase order is to provide the development, delivery, and evaluation of in-person and web-based training related to culturally appropriate, trauma-informed medical forensic examinations, including identification, collection, and preservation of evidence obtained during the treatment of patients who have experienced violence (e.g., sexual assault, sexual abuse, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, strangulation, human trafficking, etc.). The contract includes one-year base period with four one year option periods. The solicitation requires organizations to provide in-person and web-based forensic training; clinical hands-on training; mentorship programs to ensure program sustainability; website development and maintenance specific to forensic healthcare; and ongoing training, education, and technical assistance.
