(i) This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

(ii) The solicitation number is 15B10925Q00000037. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Please read it in its entirety.

(iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2025-03.

(iv) The NAICS for this requirement is 311999 with a small business size standard of 700 employees.

This requirement is a total small business set-aside.

Weekly deliveries are anticipated during this time, BEGINNING APRIL 1, 2025, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2025, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME(EST). NO DELIVERY ON HOLIDAY'S OR WEEKENDS. Quantities mentioned in the RFQ are quarterly estimated maximum. The local food service department will contact you weekly to describe quantities required.

(ix) FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
Award will be made to the responsible Quoter whose quote conforms to the requirements and is determined to provide the best value to the Government, considering the evaluation factors outlined below.

(1) Price - The government will evaluate the Quoter's proposed price to ensure it is fair and reasonable;

(2) Past Performance - Past performance information shall include prior experience and similar performances undertaken by the contractor

Background
The U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, is seeking to procure food items for FMC Lexington. The goal of this contract is to provide essential food supplies, specifically various types of bread, to support the facility's food service operations.

Work Details
The following items are required:

1. Hoagie Bun, Fresh: 15 Loaves (24 per package). Specifications: Enriched, variety specialties - Hoagie, White or Wheat, Pan Baked, Sliced, Fresh, Seedless. Fresh bread must be delivered within 48 hours after baking.

2. Kosher Whole Wheat Bread: 10,000 Loaves (1 or 1.5-pound loaf). Must be certified Kosher Parve with Whole Wheat Flour as the first ingredient on the label.

3. Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns: 5,000 Loaves (12 per package). Specifications: Enriched, Sandwich (Hamburger), Whole Wheat, Pan Baked, Sliced, Fresh, Seedless. Fresh bread must be delivered within 48 hours after baking.

4. Whole Wheat Hot Dog Buns: 5,000 Loaves (12 per package). Specifications: Enriched, Finger (Hot Dog), Wheat, Pan Baked, Sliced, Fresh, Seedless. Fresh bread must be delivered within 48 hours after baking.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for deliveries is from April 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
Deliveries are to be made to FMC Lexington located at 3301 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 40511.
