Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is issuing this contract to provide reliable means for the construction, maintenance, and repair of flood control projects along the Mississippi River, Atchafalaya River, Red River, and Old River Control Channels.
The goal is to ensure effective flood control and navigation work over a two-year period through an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (ID-IQ) contract.

Work Details
The contractor will perform various construction tasks including:
1. Stone Upper Bank Paving: Placement of graded stone on unprotected surfaces riverward of the top of bank.
2. Stone Repairs: Restoration of existing bank paving or subaqueous mattress for small holes or failures.
3. Stone Dike Paving: Placement of graded stone in deficient areas of existing stone dikes.
4. Stone Subaqueous Paving: Placement of graded stone in specified underwater areas.
5. Stone Stockpiling: Delivery and stockpiling of B-Stone without fines as per contract plans.
6. Trench Excavation for Stone Key Construction: Excavating trenches for stone key placement to prevent erosion.
7. Quality Control Measures: Adherence to safety and quality standards as per U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requirements.

Place of Performance
Work will be conducted at various sites along the Mississippi River, Atchafalaya River, Red River, and Old River Control Channels within the jurisdiction of the New Orleans District.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must furnish required performance and payment bonds. Contractors must have experience in civil works such as grading, earth fill, clearing, slope stabilization, armor stone protection, and dike construction.
Compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Occupational Health Requirements (EM 385-1-1) is mandatory.
