THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation, but market research to
determine potential sources to provide testing, maintenance, and repair of Flightline 150 Wheeled
Portable Halon 1211 Fire Extinguishers on Keesler AFB, MS as described in the attached Statement of
Work.
This notice does not constitute a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Further, we are
not at this time seeking proposals; therefore, DO NOT request a copy of a solicitation or submit a
proposal as a result of this notice. Responders are advised the Government will not pay for any
information or administrative costs incurred in response to this sources sought and that all
submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All costs associated with
responding to this sources sought will be solely at the responding party's expense.
Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future solicitation,
should one be issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the
Government to form a binding contract. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise from a
response to the notice. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the SAM.gov
website for additional information pertaining to this sources sought.
RESPONSE INFORMATION:
Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received no later than 3:00 PM CST, on Tuesday, 5
August 2025. Responses should be emailed to: gidget.mccalpine@us.af.mil and
priscilla.brown.5@us.af.mil. It is the responsibility of the respondent to ensure their email has
been received by contacting either the Contract Specialist, Gidget McCalpine, at 228-377-1803 or
Contracting Officer, Priscilla Brown, at 228-377-1827 or via email PRIOR to the deadline. Responses
and/or inquiries WILL NOT be accepted past the deadline.
Interested parties should include their company name, address, phone number, point of contact, CAGE
code, company size status, and whether or not they are a U.S. or foreign-owned firm. All interested
parties must provide a response containing a written statement confirming they can comply with the
Government needs as specified in the Statement of Work, any associated product literature, and if
the items are located on a Federal Supply Schedule contract.
All responders to this Sources Sought Notice understand, by submitting this written statement, they
are certifying they can meet ALL criteria.

Background
This sources sought announcement is issued by the U.S. Air Force to gather information on potential sources capable of providing testing, maintenance, and repair services for Flightline 150 Wheeled Portable Halon 1211 Fire Extinguishers at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB), MS.
The goal is to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while maintaining operational readiness.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, material, and labor necessary for the testing, maintenance, and repair of all flightline wheeled Halon 1211 fire extinguishers utilized on Keesler AFB. This includes:
1. Scheduling pick up and drop off of fire extinguishers with the 403 AMXS and 803 AMXS personnel.
2. Performing annual and six-year maintenance on fifty-four (54) 150lbs wheeled portable Halon 1211 fire extinguishers at required intervals.
3. Conducting hydrostatic testing off-site in accordance with NFPA 10 standards and other relevant regulations.
4. Using Class 1 Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) for maintenance and refilling of Halon fire extinguishers.
5. Providing written recommendations for necessary repairs or replacement parts prior to commencing work.
6. Conducting thorough annual inspections and six-year overhauls as per manufacturer’s specifications and NFPA guidelines.
7. Replacing damaged or missing labels in compliance with manufacturer specifications without using contractor logos on government property.
8. Ensuring that all contractor personnel are licensed/certified and trained in accordance with state and national fire code criteria.
