Background
This Sources Sought Notice is issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML).
The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research to identify sources capable of providing a Flash Chromatography instrument required for purifying the indicator dye used to measure seawater pH as part of AOML’s sustained inorganic carbon measurements in the lab and at sea.

Work Details
The requirement is for one (1) Flash Chromatography Instrument with the following specifications:

- Brand name: Teledyne Combiflash Nextgen 100 or equal.
- The instrument must include the following characteristics:
- Inject valve
- Liquid sample loading
- Control gradients for at least binary gradient with two solvents
- Programmable solvent gradients of linear, step, and isocratic
- Low pressure gradient formation
- Gradient accuracy of at least 2%
- Two positive displacement pumps (at least 1-100 mL/min)
- Maximum pressure of at least 150 psi
- Internal fraction collector
- UV-Vis detector
- Compatible with RediSep Flash Columns.
Additionally, the ability to deliver the instrument to Miami, FL is required.

The anticipated delivery date for the Flash Chromatography instrument is 1 December 2025.
