Background
The Advanced Materials and Processing Branch of NASA relies heavily on pressurized liquid nitrogen dewars for various laboratory operations, material testing, and characterization efforts. The current dewars are outdated and require replacement to prevent safety failures due to extreme thermal cycling and sustained pressure. This procurement aims to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations while maximizing personnel safety when handling hazardous cryogenic materials.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement and delivery of five (5) 230-liter (230 L) pressurized liquid nitrogen dewars. The dewars must meet or exceed all current industry safety standards for handling liquid nitrogen from a pressurized system. Specific requirements include:
- Designed as a premium, transportable liquid cylinder strictly for cryogenic service.
- Constructed of high-quality stainless steel with a thick, dent-resistant outer shell.
- Engineered with a robust inner-vessel support system.
- Equipped with durable, load-bearing casters for mobility.
- Must include:
- Pressure Builder (PB) Valve/Regulator
- Liquid Valve & Port
- Gas Use Valve
- Pressure Gauge
- Liquid Level Gauge
- Vent Valve
- Pressure Relief Valve (PRV)
- Rupture Disk
- Transfer Hose rated for cryogenic liquids.
