Firm Fixed-Price, Non-Personal Healthcare Service, Commercial Item, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Contract to provide Registered and Licensed Practical Nursing Services for the Outpatient Department at the Pine Ridge Indian Health Service

Background
The Pine Ridge Indian Health Service (IHS) aims to enhance the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives. To achieve this mission, the Pine Ridge Service Unit (PRSU) requires contractor support to assist the nursing department during acute staffing shortages in outpatient clinics.

The Pine Ridge Reservation is located in southwestern South Dakota, approximately 100 miles from Rapid City and is home to the Oglala Lakota Nation.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to work at PRSU under the supervision of the Out-Patient Nurse Supervisor. The contract requires up to 10 licensed nursing staff with no more than four being LPNs.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care in outpatient settings;
- Performing tasks such as EKG completion, medication administration, immunization administration, wound care, patient education, and vital sign assessments;
- Assisting with activities of daily living;
- Conducting nursing reassessments;
- Maintaining complete nursing documentation;
- Consulting with healthcare professionals for coordinated care;
- Ensuring compliance with infection control standards;
- Participating in quality assurance initiatives.

Contractor personnel may also be required to float to emergency or acute care units as needed. The contractor must ensure seamless coverage and continuity of care while adhering to federal and state tax responsibilities.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base year plus four option years, beginning 90 days from the award date.

Services will be performed at multiple locations including:
- Pine Ridge Service Unit at 607 Indian Health Road, Pine Ridge, SD 57770;
- Kyle Health Center at 1000 Health Center Rd., Kyle SD 57752;
- Wanblee Health Center at 210 1st St., Wanblee SD 57577;
- LaCreek Health Center at 119 S 1st Ave., Martin SD 57551.
