Background
The Great Plains Area Indian Health Service (GPAIHS) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Medical Laboratory Technologist Services at the Rosebud IHS Hospital in Rosebud, South Dakota.

The mission of the Indian Health Service is to provide quality healthcare to Native American populations. This contract aims to address staffing shortages in the laboratory department by providing necessary medical technology support.

Work Details
The contractor will provide up to 12 Medical Technologists to deliver non-personal healthcare services. Responsibilities include:
1. Performing examinations for all patients presenting to the Laboratory Department;
2. Ensuring compliance with quality assurance and quality control programs;
3. Maintaining accurate laboratory testing records and documentation;
4. Providing clerical support including equipment maintenance and workload reporting;
5. Submitting candidate submission packets and invoices as required.

The contractor must maintain a minimum staffing level during each shift, ensuring that services are available year-round.

Period of Performance
The contract period is tentatively set from October 15, 2024, through October 14, 2025, with four optional one-year periods thereafter.
