Fire Suppression System Preventative Maintenance Contract

Background
The United States Department of State (DOS) is issuing a contract for the maintenance of the Ansul R-102 Kitchen fire suppression system, which is critical for ensuring safety in commercial cooking operations. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and maintain the operational integrity of the fire suppression system located in the Chancery cafeteria.

Work Details
The contractor will perform maintenance on the Ansul R-102 fire suppression system as required by NFPA 96, NFPA 72, and NFPA 17A standards. Specific tasks include:
- Conducting annual inspections and maintenance on the fire suppression system.
- Performing flow tests at designated test points.
- Checking nozzle seals and replacing them with factory-supplied seals if necessary.
- Operating pneumatic releases and electrical shutoffs without disrupting cooking operations.
- Replacing fusible links and cartridges as needed.
- Cleaning grease from conduit openings and ensuring all components are tagged appropriately.
- Conducting hydrostatic tests every 12 years for fire extinguishers.

The contract includes a minimum order amount of $26,000 and a maximum of $135,000 during the performance period. The services will be provided for a base year with four one-year options. The contractor must provide qualified technicians certified by ANSUL Company, along with documentation of their qualifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a one-year period from the date of contract award, with four (4) one-year options available.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Chancery located at level 1 in the cafeteria.
