Background
The solicitation is for Fire Prevention and Life Safety services for the National Capital Region. The Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) is the essential services provider for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, and offices in the National Capital Region. The Pentagon Reservation is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense and accommodates approximately 30,000 employees, both military and civilian.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials supervision, and non-personal services necessary to perform Fire Protection Engineering and Life Safety Services as defined in the Performance Work Statement. This includes tasks such as fire/life safety analyses and evaluations of existing areas and facilities; conducting fire/life safety inspections for the Pentagon Campus and WHS-leased facilities; witnessing periodic fire protection systems testing; assisting in life safety codes, policies, standards development and implementation; conducting fire protection/life safety code compliance plan reviews and inspections; witnessing fire protection/life safety systems commissioning (Cx)/acceptance testing; assisting with evacuation training for building occupants; and assisting with periodic fire drills.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be for one Base Year of 12 months and four 12-month option years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Pentagon, Mark Center Campus (MCC), Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC), and WHS-leased facilities in the National Capital Region.
