Fire Island Insulation Project

Background
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is issuing this contract for boiler and pressure vessel inspection, certification, and maintenance services at Station Fire Island and Station Eaton’s Neck. The goal of the contract is to restore boiler efficiency and functionality, identify and prevent potential safety hazards, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, management, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and any other items or services necessary to perform inspection and certification for boiler and pressure vessels at specified Coast Guard locations. Specific tasks include:

- Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance services (PMS) in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions;
- Reporting emergencies found during preventive maintenance;
- Submitting reports on repairs identified during routine maintenance;
- Servicing proprietary automated control systems;
- Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols when connecting devices to serviced equipment;
- Adhering to health and safety regulations including OSHA standards;
- Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities; and
- Providing progress reports summarizing all maintenance activities performed.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance shall be for one Base Year starting in 2025.

Station Fire Island, NY (1 Coast Guard Station, Babylon, NY 11702) and Station Eaton’s Neck, NY (12 Lighthouse Road, Northport New York).
