Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point, Suffolk County, NY, Contract 4 Project   5

Background
The contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for the Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point project in Suffolk County, NY. The mission of this project is to conduct necessary beach fill and debris removal operations to maintain coastal integrity and safety.

The goal of the contract is to mobilize resources for hydraulic beach fill, debris removal, and final record drawings as part of the overall coastal restoration efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Mobilization & Demobilization - This includes preparing for and concluding work at the site.
2. Hydraulic Beach Fill - Approximately 821,000 cubic yards of hydraulic beach fill will be performed at Westhampton & Cupsogue Beach based on estimated quantities.
3. Debris Removal - The contractor will execute debris removal operations as specified in the solicitation.
4. Final Record Drawings - The contractor must provide final record drawings, which are pre-priced at $100,000 and cannot be altered. Additionally, there are optional tasks including:
- Option 1 - CPF Cupsogue Bayside with an estimated quantity of 380,000 cubic yards;
- Option 2 - Additional Insurance as specified in Section 01 30 00.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed by March 30, 2025, with a delivery timeframe of approximately 180 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) for each line item.

The construction projects will be performed at Westhampton & Cupsogue Beach in Suffolk County, NY.
