Background
The Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, has a requirement for the maintenance, repair, and recharge of government-owned portable flightline fire extinguishers. This contract aims to ensure the operational readiness of the Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting section by maintaining 140 Halotron 150-pound fire extinguishers, which are essential for safety and compliance with regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide fire extinguisher maintenance, repair, and recharge services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The key tasks include:

1. Six-Year Maintenance: Conduct internal/external examinations, maintenance, and repairs on all 140 Halotron fire extinguishers.

2. Twelve-Year Hydrostatic Testing: Perform hydrostatic testing along with external/internal examinations, maintenance, refill, and recharge of the extinguishers. Clean agent must be reclaimed for recharging; any additional agent required must be provided at no extra cost.

3. The contractor must assess each extinguisher's condition before service and mark any that are condemned.

4. All services must comply with NFPA 10 standards and other referenced technical manuals. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, supervision, tools, equipment, parts, and transportation to perform these services.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina.
