Background
The United States Air Force (USAF) aims to acquire commercial Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for installations within the Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS). This program supports the Directorate of Headquarters Air Force Civil Engineer Center (HQ AFCEC) and may extend to other Department of Defense agencies.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of Fire and Emergency Services PPE, including protective hoods compliant with NFPA standards. Specifications require garments tested for compliance with NFPA 1971, a minimum Thermal Protective Performance rating of 41, and a Thermal Heat Loss of 268 W/m2.

Materials include CROSSTECH® Black two-layer moisture barrier, Omni Elite® blend of Kevlar® and Basofil® fibers, Berry Amendment Compliant products, and ISO Standard 9001 certification. Delivery is required within 90 business days for CONUS and 100 business days for OCONUS.
