Background
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is a federal agency that provides funding grants for research and development and is dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and education across various fields. The Division of Financial Management (DFM) within NSF is responsible for managing the agency's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, grantee relationships, and payments. DFM seeks contractor support to meet financial management accounting and reporting requirements, improve processes, ensure compliance with federal financial regulations, and provide assistance with annual financial statement audits and internal control assessments.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing financial management services such as accounting operations, financial statement preparation, internal control assessment processes, and supporting DFM with other financial management services that arise from the annual audit process. Additionally, the contractor will assist with financial systems support and analysis by drafting templates, reports, project management plans, maintaining project timelines, tracking requests for assistance, generating performance metrics for management review, and identifying systems requirements necessary to implement the next generation financial system.
