QUESTION #1
In the System Specification, page 7, there is a table of five fiber optic cables. It seems that at least three of them are no longer available, or at least current information on them is lacking. Are these part numbers are still available?

ANSWER #1
Yes, additional information is provided in the table below.

4.2.1.1 Fiber types - The fiber types requirements in section 3.2.1.1 shall be verified via demonstration by performing 25 splices on each of the following fiber types (or their equivalents). The table below has a listing of the sizes and alternate manufacturer's part numbers.

QUESTION #2
Can proposals contain multiple configurations?

ANSWER #2
No, proposals cannot contain multiple configurations. However, alternate proposals are acceptable in accordance with Section L, Part A, of the solicitation.

QUESTION #3
In the SPS, paragraph 4.3.2, reference is made to Table V of MIL-STD-461F. However, it is Table IV that lists the specific tests. Should the reference be to Table IV?

Yes, Table IV is the correct reference.

AMENDMENT #2

The purpose of this amendment is extend the due date for proposals from 09 May 2016, 16:00 EDT to 16 May 2016, 16:00 EDT.

In accordance with Section L, sealed offers with original and five (5) copies of the Technical and Past Performance Volumes and one (1) copy of the Price Volume for furnishing the supplies or services in the schedule are due by 16 May 2016, 16:00 EDT. Proposals are not to be submitted via facsimile or electronically via email.
